Most recently the Junkies had an overwhelming crowd at the 2007 Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Florida.
Currently, DJ COSMO is playing out individually and the band is gearing up to tour worldwide this fall.
FOXYLANE
"Foxylane" refers to the neighborhood where we are hanging out. Moreover, it's a play upon words, a pun, with Chasey Lane, my favourite actress, in mind. Fits perfectly, as we are in fact just a gang of porn stars with bad breath.

SEX IN DALLAS Sex in Dallas. Different people claim for the paternity of the project. Originally from the Republic of Texas. Left the country on injunction of the U.S. federal government for subversive activities. Came to Paris, France. Produced their already legendary "red album" Around the war, signed on Kitty-Yo (Peaches, Gonzalez). Acclaimed by the international press, from France to America, from Le Monde Magazine (april 2006) to the Philadelphia Weekly. Their live debut had been chaotic, violent and memorable. In conflit with the Parisian society, they settle in 2003 in the capital of the world, Berlin, Germany. For the second album joined Biladoll (ex Electrocute/former Puppetmastaz) as "la chanteuse" and studio producer. With her lucid performances they toured the world, from Turkey (Indigo Music Hall, Istanbul) to Ukrainia (Kaif Club, Kiev), from Sao Paulo (Vivo Festival) to London (The End). Played live in Berghain. SID formed a dj team, applaused from Ankara (Locus Solus) to Berlin (Tresor, Week-End), their new homeland. Exposed in the MOMA/PS1 in an art movie, "132 BPM", of the artist from Norway, Torbjorn Rodland. Currently working with the Hebbel Theater in Berlin, for the music and the scenography of the next Alexandre Roccoli choreography (d..cembre 2006; http://www.hebbel-theater.de). Developed a certain vision of electronic music as a part of a field of contemporary arts. Consider clubbing as a political option and an infinite utopia. Experiment music as a landscape and work each track with a narrative approach. Had fun with Khan (Captain Comatose) and Eric D. Clark ("From Disco to Disco") as featurings. Will release their second album," Perpetual Emotion Maschine", on Record Makers (Air, S..bastien Tellier, Arpanet, John Carpenter), Paris, France.

THUGFUCKER
I was two days deep in the Arctic tundra when i first started to hear the beats pounding through the air. It was bewildering. There wasn't supposed to be anybody living in a 1000 mile radius of this desolate spot, let alone a party. But after walking a few miles north I discovered two men gathered around a laptop, speakers and a giant battery.
Completely immersed in what they were doing they didn't even notice my presence. "Hmmm, this sounds right. Sounds good," one commented before the second launched into a heated discussion of how cymbal patterns affect the female libido. In my many journeys in the wilderness I had never heard anyone mention hi-hats before. I was intrigued. How did these men get here? Where did they come from? What business did they have deep in the heart of earth's inhospitable tundra? I knew at that moment that I had found the subject for my next article. These men would definitely inspire the piece that could catapult me to a better position within the National Geographic Society. Surely they'll send me to Galapagos next, I thought. Quickly I grabbed my Nikonos V and started shooting -- desperate to catch this spectacle on film.
And thus began my first encounter with Greg Oreck & Holmar Filipsson. What I had just witnessed was the emerging of one of their classic projects, "Thugfucker" and the beginning of what later became known as the "Deep Tundra Sessions".
It turns out that Holmar and Greg met in Greenland where they had both been individually exploring the worlds largest glacier. After their chance meeting at the summit, they quickly found they shared a common interest -- creating electronic music under extreme conditions. Together they took "Extreme Music" to a new level. Like Mr. Filipsson puts it : "We make music where no man has made music before."
Whether skydiving in the Andes, riding camels in the scorching Sahara or scaling the legendary and dangerous K7, the Thugfucker duo has managed to produce coherent beats and testosterone fueled productions that most people would never dream possible -- especially under such demanding circumstances.
Yet the Thugfucker guys thrive on it.
And their material catches the essence of extreme living. They can be caught djing and misbehaving at various clubs both sides of the Atlantic Ocean (Holmar based in NYC, Greg recently relocated to Paris) yet regardless of where they are their adrenal glands are always working overtime.
Individually these gentlemen have kept themselves quite busy. After living in NYC for almost a decade where he promoted and played at the various parties he's produced, Holmar launched Crack&Speed recordings two years ago with partner Jef K of Silver Network. There these guys have released over eight releases of what can only be described as "Music for the tuesday morning after party". Holmar has co-written many of these records under the various psuedonyms "Mr. Negative", "The Reykjavik Massive" and "The Spencer Filipsson Experience" and they have enjoyed considerable underground success. "The Spencer Filipsson Experience" (consisting of Holmar and Olivier Spencer") has done remixes for Pokerflat and Ibadan Records while "Mr. Negative" (Olivier Spencer, Freestyle man and Holmar Filipsson) has just signed an album deal with "Four Music" and crafted a remix for Telepopmusik. Their singles "Better Than You" and "Evacuate" on Fine Records have succesfully taunted crowds worldwide. Holmar recently relased his first solo 12" on Dirt Crew Records titled "Shining Hamburger" to rave reviews and in addition to "Thugfucker Records" is launching another label Manthraxx with his partner in both "Mr.Negative" & "The Spencer Filipsson Experience", Liv Spencer, January '06, first release, the new "Mr.Negative" single "More than a Feeling"..
Greg Oreck has spent the last ten years DJing around New York and around the globe. He welcomed the millenium in New Zealand with an 8 hour DJ set and has held the enviable position of official DJ for the prestigious Amsterdam Cannabis Cup. He recently won an award at Sundance for his work on the soundtrack of "Adrenaline Hunters", an extreme sports film by Victor Muh. His latest solo effort, "The Line" was released recently on Moodmusic and has been getting strong feedback and plays from Berliin and beyond. Other current projects include an ambient project with Eli Janney (of Girls Against Boys) under the name The Department of Human Genetics. He has also recently produced the single "Coffee is Ecstasy" with Master H as part of a new collaborative dance project.

IN FLAGRANTI
In Flagranti is the duo of Sasha Crnobrnja and Alex Gloor. They both have been in and around various scenes on opposite sites of the globe between New York and Europe. What they share is the simultaneous discovery of the italian cosmic scene from the late 70's early 80's. Both were hooked after hearing some of the mixed tapes in the early 80's, which had this hypnotic blend of electro-disco-afro-rock-funk-dub. in the search of like minded people and the music they loved, Sasha and Alex meet in Basel/Switzerland. It didn't take long for Sasha to join Alex who moved to new york in the early 80's, and also make the move to the big apple, in 1993. the musical bond had become so strong that they decide to start their own record label "Codek Records", which will mark the 10th anniversary in 2006.
ESCRT003 -- A Bright New Life b/w All That She Is featuring Morgan Geist Edit
A Bright New Life (“akarui seikatsu”) is the latest disco anthem from Brooklyn’s Escort. It’s a sardonic take on getting ahead, featuring Zena Kitt’s powerful lead vocals, a horn section led by Jon Natchez, strings by Caleb Burhans, and absolutely massive drums and percussion by Ernesto Abreau, Chauncey Yearwood, and Ben Herson. Features two additional edits for DJs, including one by Metro Area’s Morgan Geist. The flip, All That She Is, is synthesizer-driven, cinematic late-night disco. It’s quixotic falsetto refrain will delight and perplex listeners. Very enthusiastic support from Trevor Jackson, Ewan Pearson, Prince Language, and more!

Trouble & Bass w/ Special Guest Tayo New York, New York
Our latest record is a debut 12” coming straight from the deepest pit in Hell—Brooklyn. CURSES!* is not a total rookie, though. Wrapped in this elegantly designed cloak of mystery is bass heavyweight champ DROP THE LIME. Under this new guise, he’s all about reigniting the excitement of early nineties dance music. But he’s so not retro. His peculiar brand of mutated house defies everything you think you know about “proper club music”. He makes evil records that challenge you to play them out, LOUD, and then amply reward you for doing so.
Hungry For Love is, dare I say it, an eight-minutes beat odyssey. It unfolds ambitiously, with live-sounding drums and bells on a bed of electro synths and effects, plus propulsive bass and high drama. It sounds unburdened by any genre imperatives but never surrenders to prog. There’s nothing quite like it.
With This Is the Way, Curses! brings back the diva. And then proceeds to cut her up and run her into the ground with utmost care and love. The vocals are super compressed, yes, and mangled, yes, and paired with hyper synths and breackneck edits and hardbody drums, yes, but they’re still oddly human—it’s still a voice cutting through the plug-ins. So here it is, this oddity, a straight-up ravey anthem augmented with an unexpectedly moving disorder in the treble range.
When Drop The Lime hijacks his doppelganger’s music, he shows no mercy and punches up pretty much everything. The resulting all-levels-in-the-red, jacked-up House morphs in and out of Electro, Dubstep and Grime and is, frankly speaking, kind of scary. In a good way. In a Female Convict Scorpion way.
Land Shark is the brainchild of producer/song writer Lance De Sardi. After many years as a successful dance producer and DJ, he wanted a new outlet with which he could explore his love of all forms of music; especially the gritty, dark, and dingy variety. The band originally began with Lance using the moniker as a solo project, but he quickly realized the potential for the songs to be played live with a full band and show. Originally deriving from almost all of Lance’s influences in dance, industrial, punk, disco, new wave, and even a little hip-hop, the band has now taken on an even more interesting and eclectic approach with the addition of three new members. With Tasho Nicolopolus on guitar and programming, Derrick Boyd on Bass, and Kevin Achs bringing the drum pain, what was once solely an electronic foray into the unknown has become a fully live experience.
Because of the unique juxtaposition of electronic and live sounds, and their separate experience as club DJ’s, the band has been extremely well received in both rock and dance clubs all over their home city of San Francisco. And with their tour schedule ever growing for 2007, people everywhere will soon get to see what Land Shark is all about- dirt, darkness, and dancing.
