NAMBUCCA - NEW YEARS EVE PARTY
METRO RIOTS Can you hear this? Okay...pay attention. Welcome to Riotville. Not everything is pretty and the bloodied faces around you have seen better days...probably. Never ones to keep their hurt hidden beneath their skin.
The Riots have grown weary of people expressing heartbreak, discontent and anger through standard textbook blues music written by content purists and strummed by joyous fools. No. Heartbreak doesn't tend to be documented in a "You CAN Play Blues in One Hour" book.
Heartbreak is Blind Willie McCell.
Discontent is Leadbelly.
Anger is Richard Hell.
Metro Riots unleash their own brand of fuzzed-up, brutal and extreme punk blues on waiting ears. Are you listening?

SELFISH CUNT
SELFISH CUNT is the bain of my existence and everytime I think of explaining what we are about, I wish to shoot myself in the foot. The four members of the band are myself Martin Tomlinson on vocals , Patrick Constable on guitar, Joae Pires on drums and Matthew Saw on bass. We are an unlikey bunch that come together in a bizarre gentlemens agreement of expression. We live completely different lives and have extremely different interests. The band at present feels as though it is riddled with issues and if I tried to tell you differently I would be lying. We are, have been, in the middle, for too long, of completeting our second record. Many would say that the hold up is due to the controversial nature of the name which makes record labels and management not wanting to invest. This could be true or secondly that I am a pain in the ass which probably bring us right back to the former point . In the past we had gathered a reputation, or should I say I had, for causing trouble which if I put my hand on my heart was essential because London needed the fucking shit kicking out of it and probably still does. Anger is a muse but on a personal level it can be detremental to the spirit. We're playing many shows abroad at present for example NewYork, Athens, Paris, Istanbul.. this is great! The future for SELFISH CUNT is how can I put it... 'up in the air'. Without investment it makes the project a drag but at the same time I am driven crazy not to let this amazing band go to the dogs. There is definately an evolution within the band's musicality and within my attitude as a singer and performer which I would say is even richer than the spectacle of hate and fury that was expressed in earlier performances. With the death of Mark Blanco at the end of last year it gave birth to a whole new body of expression and sobriety that is only expected at such a tragic loss. This also spurred on a collaboration with the artist and writer Heather Jones X from which the songs 'Born In A Mess' and 'In My Deepest Psychosis' were wrote. The battle commences. Martin.x

THE FIFTEEN MINUTE SOCIETY Sex in Dallas. Different people claim for the paternity of the project. Originally from the Republic of Texas. Left the country on injunction of the U.S. federal government for subversive activities. Came to Paris, France. Produced their already legendary "red album" Around the war, signed on Kitty-Yo (Peaches, Gonzalez). Acclaimed by the international press, from France to America, from Le Monde Magazine (april 2006) to the Philadelphia Weekly. Their live debut had been chaotic, violent and memorable. In conflit with the Parisian society, they settle in 2003 in the capital of the world, Berlin, Germany. For the second album joined Biladoll (ex Electrocute/former Puppetmastaz) as "la chanteuse" and studio producer. With her lucid performances they toured the world, from Turkey (Indigo Music Hall, Istanbul) to Ukrainia (Kaif Club, Kiev), from Sao Paulo (Vivo Festival) to London (The End). Played live in Berghain. SID formed a dj team, applaused from Ankara (Locus Solus) to Berlin (Tresor, Week-End), their new homeland. Exposed in the MOMA/PS1 in an art movie, "132 BPM", of the artist from Norway, Torbjorn Rodland. Currently working with the Hebbel Theater in Berlin, for the music and the scenography of the next Alexandre Roccoli choreography (d..cembre 2006; http://www.hebbel-theater.de). Developed a certain vision of electronic music as a part of a field of contemporary arts. Consider clubbing as a political option and an infinite utopia. Experiment music as a landscape and work each track with a narrative approach. Had fun with Khan (Captain Comatose) and Eric D. Clark ("From Disco to Disco") as featurings. Will release their second album," Perpetual Emotion Maschine", on Record Makers (Air, S..bastien Tellier, Arpanet, John Carpenter), Paris, France.

THE BISHOPS
If in search for a prophecy of 2007's new order, British music need look no further than THE BISHOPS.
THE BISHOPS are a rock and roll band emanating from London. They are fronted by twins Mike Bishop (vocals, guitar) and Pete Bishop (vocals, bass) and completed by Scotsman Chris McConville (drums). From the dark damp cellars of their youth hostel abode, the band worked tirelessly towards creating their sound, studiously developing their gift for classic song craft. The result of these sessions was a collection of songs that are refreshingly striking and different.
The bands musical influences stem from a range of genres: but to list them isn't what it's about. Their sound does features an amalgamation of ideas but it's their reinterpretation of this sound that makes THE BISHOPS so thoroughly relevant, drawing upon a range of classic influences whilst still creating something new, original and exciting.
And people around the world are taking notice. 2006 saw THE BISHOPS play over 200 shows across the globe, including major festivals across Europe. There were two accompanying singles, which received a rapturous reception from the media, radio and record buying public alike. The band recorded at Toe Rag studios in London working alongside White Stripes producer Liam Watson with the fruits of their labour being a truly remarkable creation; the band's self titled debut album set for release on 1234 records in April 2007. It is a record which brims with energy, variety, feeling and drive; an unequivocally razor sharp distillation of their influences.

THE BLACK ELEVATORS
A Garage, Punk, Psychedelic duo formed in July of 2007. Its members are Alfred H. (guitars, vocals) and Wes H. (drums, percussion, vocals). Their influences are centered around 60’s Garage Punk/Psychedelia, early Rock & Roll, British Mod, and the gloom of Swamp Blues. Their live show is decidedly energetic featuring pounding jungle drums, octave and fuzz guitars, and a shambolic dress code suggesting hints of Mod and Punk.
THEE OUTLAWS
So how can you describe Thee outlaws... A punk Primal scream, Sex pistols with a swagger, the bedlam of Brian jonestown mixed with the coolness of Oasis??? Mods? punks? Britpoppers? casuals? Scenesters?? Who the fuck knows, but with a singer reminscent of Bobby gillespie, barking like Rob Tyner, snarling like johnny rotten and swaggering like Liam Gallagher... A guitarist in the shape of a young John Squire, with the poise of Johnny Marr... A bassist who plays in the same style of Dee dee Ramone reminding me of a Faces era Ron Wood and a drummer who if he was a blackpool rock he would have Keith Moon written through him with the words Kenny Jones on the label! ok you get the picture right?? right (grow your own radio) germany*********Well, Southampton is hotbed for talent right now! And Thee Outlaws are at the front line of the pack!!! Promoting there own Dirty Rock n Roll sound, rarely a gig passes without disruption and chaos. Only been established for 2 years or so, they've already had enough obstacles to face such as 10 band members, intoxications, a tour of europe and more gigs than you've had hot dinners****The bands shows have widely been touted as one of the best and exciting shows around. the band have had gigs with a few mainstream bands and are starting to break through themselves.*******The current line up has been together now since April 05. With Joey Ackland on vocals, Alex Tapp (Formally with The Mock) on Bass, Neil Starke (carnation) on Lead Guitar, and Tony 'the face' Castle (formally with Thee Exciters/Rowed Out/the mood and the hoodwinks) On drums. The band are southamptons premier dirty rock n roll band, every gig gets messier and dirtier than the the other. With influences spanning garage/punk/soul and good ol' rock n roll. They are set to 'rip it up' in a venue near you very soon, SO KEEP AN EYE OUT!!!
THE PERVS
On Jan 11 2006 the band was born. A year later they are still kicking with singer Linzee Butta, bassist Michele McGonigle, drummer Brandon Engelman and guitarist Jackie Bodley. As always ... Singer gets band stinkin drunk. Band loses jobs. Band commits 100%
BOYS OF BRAZIL
Boys of Brazil are liars – as well as three boys, they feature a lady, namely Emily Rotter, who is also in The Rotters and a cohort of The Horrors. I get the feeling a lot of the crowd have come to North London especially for B.O.B. (remember BOB in Twin Peaks - the mysterious, deadly, unseen character of doom to whom reference was made by Laura Palmer in her secret diary…?) This band captures that sense of darkness with swirling Hammond organ-like keyboards and razoredge guitars, not to mention their sumptuous haircuts, dapper clothes and eyeliner. ‘Jeanette’s Got E Coli’ (deadly dizeeze, oh yeah!) features a half-posh, half-cockney spoken-word bit reminiscent of Jon Slade from Huggy Bear/Comet Gain. The vocals are less abrasive than those of The Horrors, though their overall style is similar. That’s not to say they aren’t any good. ‘Something Was Wrong’ is the highlight, Emily’s organ in full effect as the intensity propels a music industry man out of his seat and onto the chair’s arms, frantically waving a balloon in rapture. Kate Picard.
